Jim performs at USA Songwriting Competition Showcase in Austin: On December 26, 2003, Jim Farmer performed a 25-minute acoustic set of his songs at a USA Songwriting Competition Showcase in Austin, Texas. The showcase was held at Borders Books, Music & Cafe, which is located at 10225 Research Blvd.

Jim entered his song "The Waltz Out of Time" in the Folk category of the 2003 USA Songwriting Competition. Although he wasn't selected as a finalist, he was asked to perform at the Austin showcase in December. At the event, Jim provided copies of his CD, "In a Better World" for sale.
